Marie enjoys giving readings, workshops and courses to audiences of all ages, so please contact her!
She has been a sessional lecturer at the University of Regina since 2000, beginning with two sequential Teaching Fellowships. Recently, she has taught research and magazine writing at the University of Regina School of Journalism. She was editor of Windscript and fiction/nonfiction editor of Spring magazine, and facilitated an Artscape project in a rural school in which Grades 5-8 students each researched, wrote, and illustrated their own picture book. And she has given readings for Grades Pre-k to Grade 12, to help introduce readers to her books.
Her free-writing and journaling workshops have been popular across the prairies, and have led to the formation of a monthly writing group in Regina. She has given workshops in how to start a freelance writing business, as well as workshops on the writing craft.
Here is an article from the Assiniboia Times about a library reading she did there.
