That Cat! / Sleep, Sheep! (Riverstream Readers: Word Families)
These are such cute books, easy to read–my kindergartener read through them in no time. That Cat! is 1/2 of the book and then Sleep, Sheep! is the other 1/2–they are printed upside down from each other. Good quality for a paperback and got to my house in a timely manner. I would recommend this book!

Out for Trout gets young readers learning/practicing the ‘out’ sound along with other words including wait and bait. It is a story about a boy going fishing with his dad and sister. The photography is clear and interesting adding an extra incentive for young readers to read the book to see what happens.
Highly recommended and look forward to reading the rest in the series.

Not a Lot, Robot!

This is a great word family reader. This means that the story focuses on words that sound alike: so lot, rot, hot, and roBOT. This is a very nice, modern reader with simple, cute illustrations. As a teacher, I’ve seen that kids can learn to read in all kinds of ways. However, this word family thing is educationally sound and, importantly, fun!

Note that this book is illustrated by Amy Cartwright, who also did the #1 bestseller “Princess Potty” book. Her drawing is amazingly cute. 🙂

All the titles in this series include:
Don’t Trip, Pip
Stay, Kay!
Not a Lot, Robot!
Please Take Jake!
Get Wet!
Quit It!
